The rhythm of time, the rhythm of music, the rhythm of my own heartbeat, three threads that are tightly woven together, creating a pattern of interdependency. This symbolizes the combination of very distinct areas. There is a nucleus, around which these three elements crystallize.

This nucleus provides access to the descent into the world of individuality. The interpretation of contemporary music takes place on different planes. The path winds its way through various chambers of context. The enrichment gained through cooperation with the composers whois work is presented in this recording - and indeed through cooperation with a number of other artists - is inseparably interwowen with the process of penetrating the compositions themselves.

The intuitive comprehension of a world of sounds plays an important role. It is essential in recognizing the pattern of the musical fabric. The analytical foundation is indivisibly connected with the intuitive comprehension.

The process of penetrating the composition at both the intuitive and analytical level takes shape at the physical level, like swirling clouds that become a tangible mass. A composition becomes audibly perceptible when the human body merges with the musical body, the instrument.

The sound emanates from the body. It is transmitted to audibility by the instrument - as well as through instruction and by comprehension of the musical concept. Three threads that are entwined to form the cord marking the path to existence.

When I focus on the nucleus of my innermost self, delicate threads will weave a fabric incorporating a variety of elements and anchoring these elements to the self. The sound that becomes audible is related to my whole self. A cycle is completed.

The next cycle begins at the outer edge and moves towards the nucleus. Many sources supply new inspiration. These sources are, among others, my children with there questions, their curiosity and their inspiring strength.
